The firm

Arno Risk Partners is an independent financial risk advisory firm based in Florence, working with financial institutions, investment businesses and corporates in Italy and internationally.

Arno Risk Partners was founded in Florence by three specialists who shared a conviction: financial risk advice should be rigorous enough to withstand challenge and clear enough to support a decision. We created a firm where clients work directly with experienced partners throughout an engagement.

Our backgrounds bring together credit analysis, investment risk, quantitative methods and governance. This allows us to examine a problem from more than one perspective while maintaining a focused scope and a clear line of accountability.

Florence is our base, not our boundary. We work with organisations in Italy and internationally, combining the close involvement of an independent practice with an outward-looking approach.

The name

The name connects the firm to Florence and gives it a clear sense of place. For us, the river represents continuity, movement and the ability to navigate changing conditions.

Founding Partner and Managing Director, Risk Governance and International Advisory

Elena leads the firm’s strategy, international relationships and risk governance engagements. She works with boards and senior management to connect technical analysis with clear accountability, effective oversight and practical implementation.

Background
A risk advisory leader with a 19-year career working with financial institutions and corporate leadership teams on governance and cross-border projects.
Experience in
International financial services consulting, banking and corporate risk advisory.
Qualifications
MSc in Economics and Finance; postgraduate qualification in Corporate Governance.
Working languages
Italian, English and Spanish.

Lorenzo Bellandi

Founding Partner, Credit Risk and Quantitative Advisory

Lorenzo leads the firm’s credit risk and model review engagements. He works with clients to test assumptions, identify vulnerabilities and turn quantitative findings into decisions that management can explain and defend.

A quantitative risk specialist with an 18-year career spanning banking, portfolio credit analysis and independent advisory.
Experience in
Italian banking groups, specialist lending and financial services consulting.
Qualifications
MSc in Statistics and Financial Mathematics; FRM certification.
Working languages

Matteo Rinaldesi

Founding Partner, Market Risk and Investment Analytics

Matteo leads market and investment risk assignments, with a focus on portfolio exposures, scenario analysis and risk reporting. He helps investment teams and committees understand the drivers behind their results and the limitations of their analytical tools.

A financial risk specialist with a 16-year career in investment analytics, market risk and portfolio oversight.
Experience in
Asset management, insurance investment teams and specialist risk advisory.
Qualifications
MSc in Quantitative Finance; CFA charterholder.
